Learn About Black Siberian Husky

When finally coming to the point that you have decided to bring a Black Siberian Husky into your home and into your life, it is important to stop and make sure that you have read up on everything there is to know about this breed. These strong working dogs are compact and a very useful dog to have around in anyone's home. The Black Siberian Husky is known to have various markings on its face, which are usually white in nature.

The outer coat is a much nicer and softer to the touch while the undercoat is much more harsh. But the coarse undercoat may be what would keep these dogs alive and well in temperatures well below freezing, such as sixty degrees below zero.

Now beyond looks, there are more reasons why people want to bring a puppy home with them, such as knowing that this dog is excellent with small children and the elderly. But, it is their love for people that make them terrible watchdogs because of the fact that they never want to bark.

They are trusting of people and not aggressive at all. Overall, the Black Siberian Husky has a decently balanced temperament and would be a fantastic addition to anyone's home.

It does seem though that while they are extremely intelligent dogs, they only listen to your commands when they feel that it is justified. They work at their own pace and seem to have a mind of their own, which can be a wonderful thing on one hand and then a terrible thing on another. But all in all, this is a pretty well balanced dog that is both playful and gentle.

While many people see the Black Siberian Husky to be somewhat of a larger breed, they tend to think that they do not need as much exercise but that is simply not the case. The males can grow in weight up to sixty pounds and the females can grow up to fifty pounds. Even at their full-grown weight, they still need plenty of room to run.

Also, it is important to understand that these are energetic animals that must have room to run. As it may be advisable that they do not end up in small and cramped apartments, if this does become the case, it is a vitally important that they are given plenty of exercise in a park or somewhere they can run.

The male of this breed is expected to grow up to sixty pounds and the female up to fifty but they are still very active, even when full grown.
