Is there really a secret to building muscle fast? Yes. And if you read this article right now, you'll learn it and be able to apply it IMMEDIATELY so you can start getting the gains you want.

It's not a REAL secret (by this I mean -- lots of people "know" it) but because so many trainees don't realize how important it is -- it might as well be a secret.

Are you ready to know what this secret is?

The key to building muscle is REST. Lots of people don't realize that you build muscle when you're resting -- NOT while you're in the gym working out!

In fact, if most bodybuilders (and weight lifters too) don't realize they're actually over-training because they're putting too much emphasis on working out and not enough emphasis on recovering!

So how can you make sure you're benefiting from this secret?

1. Get 5-8 hours of sleep each night -- no exceptions. Most athletes are sleep deprived because you need more sleep than the average person if you're working out hard (like you should be doing!)

2. Eat A LOT -- most people can't gain lean muscle because they don't eat enough. Especially if your'e a hard gainer you have to eat, eat, and eat some more. Definitely increase your intake of proteins (an easy way to do this is to drink at least one protein shake a day).

3. Stretch your muscles (this helps with bloodflow which leads to growth!). And an added benefit is that you'll probably be less sore!

I know what you're thinking... "It can't be that simple to build muscle!" Well, it just could be that simple for you.

How can you tell?

If you always feel tired... run down... like you're not making any gains anymore... or you never really feel 100% when you step back in the gym then these are all signs that you're probably over training. If this is the case and you are overtraining then getting a little more quality rest when you're out of the gym could be all you need to start building muscle mass again.
