Tampa is a very good place to visit if you're just planning to hang out and be away from your life's daily grind. With its many beaches, historical places, and tourist attractions, Tampa has many things to offer to everyone.
If you're just a traveler or visitor to Tampa, then chances are you don't have anywhere to stay there and is considering of getting one. Most travelers, especially those who just stay for one night, look for places that are convenient and cheap. For these people, staying in a hotel can be quite pricey. Motels are a good option, but there are people who still think that these are unnecessarily luxurious when all they need is just a bed to crash in and a roof over their heads.
Hostels are essentially dormitories for rent. Travelers can stay in for a night at a very small price-much cheaper than your conventional motel-and then leave immediately the morning after. Hostels are for those people who can't stay for more than a day in a certain place.
A typical hostel room has several beds, mostly bunks, where several people can stay in at a time per room. Rent is usually per head instead of per room. While people who stay is hostels usually don't stay for more than a day, there are several who stay for a long time. These include students and locally-employed people who are temporarily stationed in Tampa.
Staying in a hostel is ideal because it is cheap and fairly hassle-free. You cannot get special room service or much privacy like with hotels and motels, but it does the job of sheltering you for a short period of time - and for a cheap price.
This is particularly practical in a city like Tampa, where there are many things to see and places to go to, most of which are not too close to each other. This way, a traveler can see the beach one day, bunk out in a hostel, and be at the other side of the city the next, with a bed in another hostel.
