A Full House: The full house consists of three cards of the same number along with two cards of the same number. An example of this would be jack, jack, jack, ten and ten. The full house is a very strong hand and is only beaten by a higher full house, straight flush and royal flush. While drawing this hand is not to uncommon don't count on seeing full houses a lot.
A straight: A straight consists of five sequential cards of any suit. An example of this would be the two of clubs, 3 of hearts, 4 of spades, 5 of spades, and 6 of hearts. In poker the strength of a straight is determined by the numerical value of the last of the five sequential cards.
Flush: This hand has all five cards being the same suit. The numerical value only matters in this hand when two players are holding a flush and the winner will be determined by whose flush has the highest numerical value card in it.
