Window tint
There are many great things you can do with window tint, but you do have some restrictions. When it comes to using them on your home windows, what you want to do is really up to you. If you want to have it on a car, however, you have to make sure you look into the laws in your state or even in your city. There are some places that will not allow you to have tint, or restrict it by percentage. I know a guy in college who learned this the hard way.
He had window tint on his Ford Bronco. I have to admit it was a nice vehicle, but I didn't understand his obsession. I often wonder if he still has that thing. He loved his Bronco, and he was always adding something to it to make it look even better. He got window tint on all of the windows but the front. He suddenly found himself being pulled over time and time again. Sometimes he got a ticket, and other times he did not. They told him that his tint was too dark, and that the state had rules about how dark it could be.
My friend finally had to give in and get the window tint removed. I didn't know you could do that, but apparently he did. The Bronco still looked good, but he was very upset. He realized that no matter how upset he was, the tickets were even more upsetting. He said they always gave him a different answer as to why the window tint laws were made, and he didn't think any of them applied to him. There are many who think this way, but that doesn't mean you won't get a ticket if your window tint is too dark.
You'll be far safer if you get it for your windows at home. Some people like to have window tint on the ground floors of their homes for many reasons. Privacy is a big reason, and those with homes close to the street or near high traffic areas often get them to feel a little more like people aren't peering into their windows. Some do it for energy reasons. They think the sun coming in the windows can mess with the efficiency of their air conditioning. You can buy windows that are already tinted, or you can get them done after you have already had your windows installed.
