Recessed Lights
For a long time I didn’t understand why anybody would pay more money to have recessed lights in their home. I guess at that point I wasn’t picky, and was happy as long as I had a lamp in the corner that I could use in place of the overhead light. I knew that overhead lights caused too much glare, so I used a lamp almost exclusively. Once they moved into an apartment that had recessed lights, I finally understood why people like them so much.
The recessed lights in my apartment do the job of an overhead light without so much glare. They also looked much better as far as I’m concerned. They give off a soft, natural light while giving the room a delicate appearance. It is like having a lamp in your ceiling. If you suffer with overhead lights, you may want to try recessed lights, or even a lamp, to see if you like the difference. You may find that some of the headaches you get come from harsh light, and both of these will give you some relief.
You can use recessed lights in almost any room in your home. They are a little more work to install, but once you have them installed you will be happy that you did so. Right now I have recessed lights in my kitchen and in my bathroom, but I would like to have them in my bedroom as well. I still like the look of the lamps for my living room, so I will leave that as it is for now. We have already talked our landlord, and she’s agreed that we can install recessed lights if we would like to, but they must remain when we moved out. She is willing to pay the costs associated with installing them.
If you own an office or business, you may find that recessed lights are something you want to look into. Not only will these lights work well to light your property, you will find that they are easier on your eyes when you have to be there all day long. Some people prefer to use fluorescent lighting in a commercial space because it is much cheaper, but some people don’t like the look of it at all. If you keep your fluorescent lights recessed, they will be easier on the eyes, if not easier on your electric bill.
