Indoor hot tub
After recently moving into a larger house, we realized that we had a few rooms that just seemed a bit bare. I secretly thought that the sunroom would be perfect to put an indoor hot tub, but I was afraid that my husband would think that I was crazy. A few months after we’d moved in, he was complaining about back pain one evening. I used that opportunity to mention getting an indoor hot tub and how wonderful it would be for his aches and pains. Much to my shock, he didn’t veto the idea immediately. He said that it was an idea that was worth thinking about. I dropped it, not wanting to look or sound too eager.
A week later, he approached me and mentioned how we needed to make some changes to the sunroom if I really did want to get an indoor hot tub. As calm as possible, I listened to the changes that needed to be made and we started to make the preparations. First, we needed better ventilation. There was no way that we could put in a hot tub without having a ceiling or ventilation fan installed. There needed to be a way for the moisture to escape. We decided to put in two small ventilation bathroom type fans that would be as quiet as imaginable. We also agreed that we would need to put down some new flooring. Putting an indoor hot tub in on top of carpet was definitely not a wise idea. So, we went shopping for some tiles that could withstand getting wet on a daily basis. This was an opportunity to redo the entire sunroom, making it look incredibly appealing. Along with putting in new floor tiles, we created a tiny drain as well. That way, should there ever be a lot of excess water or splashing, it wouldn’t just lay on the floor, some of it would start to drain outside. I didn’t need a pool in the same room as my new indoor hot tub. That would be a mess to clean up.
And so, after planning the preparations and getting a new floor, we went shopping to find our ideal and affordable indoor hot tub. After a few stores and sales, we placed an order. It would hold 4 people, which means that the two of us would fit into it perfectly. Before I knew it, I was sitting in my new indoor hot tub, watching the rain fall down right outside of the windows. While the wind blew outside, I was snuggly warm and cozy inside.
