It seems that if you’re an adult in the house, you automatically assume the title of "cleaner-upper." I don’t mind tidying and I’m one who will try any and all new cleaning products that come along. That might be a new floor cleaner, a toilet brush that has an easier to handle design or even a canister free vacuum cleaner. There is one product that I won’t experiment with and that’s paper towels. Bounty paper towels have always been my choice and I use them for much more than just cleaning up.
My kids absolutely love having a snack after school. Sometimes they are craving something sweet, maybe a couple of chocolate chip cookies or a few jellybeans. Another favorite snack in my house is a handful or pretzels or potato chips. I used to serve these snacks on plates but soon discovered that if I tore off a sheet of the Bounty paper towels, that I could clean up much easier.
I also use them for wiping down the paws of our puppy before he comes in the house. I keep a roll of Bounty paper towels in the back closet and then if it’s raining or snowing out, I can wipe his paws with the Bounty paper towels and toss them in the trash. He comes in with dry paws and I don’t have to worry about wiping down the floor.
Cooking is another place they come in very handy. With small kids in the house I do a lot of heating up in the microwave. Things like spaghetti and chili can make a huge mess of the inside of the oven if you don’t use Bounty paper towels. I simply pull off a piece and place it over the bowl before placing it in the microwave.
Tortillas need to be heated before use and the microwave is so much faster than the traditional stove-top method in a skillet. The secret is to wet the Bounty paper towels sheet and place it over a stack of tortilla. Microwave for about a minute and the tortillas will be soft, warm and not dry. You can also keep them covered with the paper towel to keep the moisture in if your family members aren’t all eating right at the same time.
It’s really easy to see why I wouldn’t want to trade them in for another product and brand. I also love the price of Bounty paper towels. I can usually find them at one of the local discount department stores for an inexpensive price. If there doesn’t happen to be a sale, I stock up because you can always find a use for them.
