How To Write A Converting Squeeze Page.

Most people have no idea of how to put together a sales page that converts into sales. They may go and look at other sites that have successful sales pages. This is a good idea. The problem is that when they put their landing page together they don't put them together in the same way.

Not everyone is going to be an excellent writer, let alone a copywriter. Don't despair, we all have our strengths and weaknesses. If we are going to sell on the internet or build an email list it is important to get it right. There are two ways we can handle our lack of skill. We can spend the time and acquire the skill or we can get someone else to do it for us.

With copywriting, for example, it is all important to use a mix of persuasive sales points with compelling psychological triggers. Most people who create a sales page miss either one or both of those components.

Too much time can be spent on hype and forget to explain a solution, and for whom it is a solution. If your product doesn't solve a problem and give a benefit it will have no appeal. If you wanted to buy a product but the advertising gave you no benefit to you, would you purchase it? I wouldn't

Now, if they neglect to sprinkle in psychological triggers, such as "scientifically tested," "guaranteed," and "shocking," no one will feel compelled to keep on reading, as the benefits will have a low or mediocre perceived value.

Another problem is that some sales pages lack coherency and direction. They fail to conduct the reader to an obvious conclusion. It needs to gradually break down the readers natural resistance and slowly bring them forward to compelling him or her to buy more and more at each sales trigger point.

In addition, if there aren't numerous calls to action - another form of psychological trigger - then a possible visitor may never feel compelled adequately to pull out his or her credit card on the spot and make the purchase.

Always remain focused on your reason for writing. You need to convince your reader to act. Each sales trigger should leave your reader feeling a little more compelled to act.
