Camping is a favorite activity for many whether it is a family camping trip, a gathering of friends or roughing it together as a couple. There is a certain level of excitement about getting out in the fresh air and away from the demands of everyday life.

Nonetheless, there are some complaints about camping despite the fun you can have with one being the issue of showers. The problem tends to be the lack of showers and without camping showers, keeping clean is a challenge. In some campers' opinion, the lack of showers is so uncomfortable that it takes away from the entire camping experience.

The good news is that you can purchase or even make your own shower to bring along. Naturally, purchasing a camping shower is the easiest solution to the problem and taking care of it quickly. There are many companies selling camping showers today so you will have plenty of options from which to choose. But, if you want to save a few bucks by making your own shower, keep reading.

You can, actually, make your own camping shower with just a few simple materials and some informative instruction. Having a shower with you is a great way to get other campers to join you that normally would opt out. The materials are so few that you will be able to dispose of the shower at the end of the trip, making it even more convenient as far as camping supplies and equipment to haul back home.

Though you may find many ideas available, one way to make a camping shower is to use some type of large plastic sheet. Make a large circle with some wire and form a shower curtain by connecting the plastic sheet to the circle of wire. A tarp is good choice for this purpose. Then, find a tall plastic tubing to hold the "shower curtain" up vertically so you can stand inside while showering. As far as the water, cut a part of the hose equal length of the shower curtain but leave some of the hose hanging inside the shower curtain towards the ground.

With just a quick suck, the water should begin flowing and you now have a camping shower. For those campers hesitant to rough it in the countryside because of the lack of showers, there is now no excuse. You can make your own camping shower to be used many times over and easily disposed of in the end.
