If you choose the right bathroom tile design, it can really improve the look of a remodeling project in a poorly decorated bathroom; making that decision on the style will depend on the effect you want to create.

If you have a large bathroom this can be quite a daunting prospect so it is lucky that the range of styles, finishes and textures, is extensive; this is convenient of course because there will probably be something that will suit your style within your budget. The most popular styles; the harlequin tile design, marble and natural stone are also traditional but the more colorful tiles are also gaining acceptance.

If you don't know what the harlequin bathroom tile looks like; imagine a white tile that has smaller black diamond shapes in a grid like pattern imprinted on them and you will have a good picture of the harlequin style. You will usually find these tiles are oblong instead of the more traditional square tile, and these days there are also many other colors to choose from.

My favorite is the black and white design as the effect it has on the alluring apeal of a beautiful bathroom is hard to match and always improves the appeal of a bathroom. To give a really clean and elegant look to your bathroom, why not fit chrome fittings to the bath, shower and hand basin?

This can make any bathroom look like it has had an expensive remodeling but not everyone is happy about fingerprints on highly polished bathroom fittings like chrome for instance. Despite the wonderful appearance, it is something to consider especially when you have younger children that absolutely adore making patterns and marks with their hands.

I have to say that it is in the classic black on white style that I find the most appealing and timeless. When money isn't an option there is always Italian marble as a choice for your bathroom tile design. This can also be used for surrounding areas in addition to the wall and floor, plus it comes in an enormous range of finishes.

If cost is an option then there are ways in which you can have the best of both worlds by having the main design made up of a bathroom tile that is moderately priced. It is then just a matter of finding a design that will complement what you have already chosen to create a new pattern, and then it doesn't matter if the new tiles cost more as you won't be using them as much.

And even though tiling isn't overly complicated, it is still an art which you would do well to remember and organize a tradesman to come in to do it for you. Although it is obviously much cheaper to tile your bathroom remodeling project yourself, it will take longer. You may waste more tiles than you anticipate but will the result look as good?
