Sure, you've seen them, the heavy hitters with their network marketing success stories. If you have not seen them in person at company events, you have seen their pictures on the internet alongside their dream homes and their luxury cars. Are the stories and the pictures all a lie, or could they be true? And if they are true, what is holding you back from getting a piece of that success?
It could be the methods that you are being taught. Achieving success in network marketing takes more than just having faith and belief in your company, your system or even your ultimate goal.
There is something missing from what you are probably being taught. In fact, there are several missing pieces but the one we will focus on right now is something that many people feel is simply unnecessary. Maybe your upline has mentioned it, but not with much conviction. It isn't a big part of the plan. But the truth is, it is probably the one biggest ingredient in the network marketing recipe for success. What is it? It's the investment that you make in YOURSELF.
Most company training programs include the idea of goal-setting, but goals are not much help unless they are truly your own goals. If not, you will not take them seriously and you will quickly forget them. To be effective, goals should be about what you truly want from your business, not about how many leads you generate or how much product you are selling. Most network marketers don't have goals they can truly relate to, because they don't put enough time into investing in themselves.
Investing In Myself? What Does That Mean?
Easy. It's just a matter of getting a daily dose of self improvement to exercise your success mindset. Without that, the climb to success is so steep and difficult that it's almost impossible. But if you tune in to a daily mindset boost, it's like taking the elevator up the mountain!
That's right, hang out with those who have that millionaire or even billionaire mindset. Most of us don't have access to them in person, but it doesn't matter. The best way to do this is by simply reading -- or even better, listening to -- motivational material from truly successful people.
There is an old theory that if you hang out long enough with successful people then your mindset begins to change. You begin to think and act like them and before long, what you once considered a satisfactory level of accomplishment, pales into insignificance to what you are really capable of producing.
The effect of a daily dose of motivational material is astonishing. It has the power to overturn your self-limiting perceptions and break down the barriers to success that you have imposed on yourself.
All you need is material from a good motivational speaker who is truly successful. This could be a household name like Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield or Dan Millman, or a top network marketer from your own company.
It is astonishing. Just 15 or 20 minutes a day can make the difference between failure and success in your business. Yet most network marketers are so busy running around 'showing the plan' to people who have no interest in it, that would say they don't have time. But you can safely schedule one less appointment or a couple of phone calls to make time for this. Hey, you can even listen in the car!
The quit rate in MLM and network marketing companies is staggering. Most distributors give up in the first couple of months. Around 90% quit within 6 months, almost always without making much money and often without even covering their costs. Often, these people will move on to another MLM opportunity. If you are in that position, it's time to change. Motivational self-improvement can turn your apparent failures into stepping stones to success.
All you have to do is invite the millionaire mindset into your life every day. Seven days a week is best. Miss a day now and then if you have to, but six days a week is the minimum. Make success a part of your life and changes will soon follow -- changes that will amaze you, open doors for you and pave the way to your network marketing success.
