A Review of Global Resorts Network

Cathy Yeatts

If you are interested in having your own home-based travel industry business, you have no doubt checked out various options, such as Coastal, YTB and Traverus, to name a few. My personal choice was Global Resorts Network, due to the superior product and compensation structure.

Did you know that the worldwide travel industry is estimated to be a Seven Trillion dollar marketplace? And in spite of tight budgets, people everywhere refuse to give up their vacation, even if it means financing it with a credit card or loan. According to a January 2008 report from the Travel Industry Association, domestic and international travelers spent an estimated 740 million dollars in the United States in 2007. No doubt, the travel industry is big business. (source: www.tia.org/

The Global Resorts membership is an access pass to over 5,000 luxury properties all around the globe. There is a one-time enrollment fee and no recurring maintenance charges. Since there are no blackouts or limits on how many times you can travel each year, you simply choose your destination, make your reservation and pay a rate of $299-$799 per week. It's that simple.

Typically, your Global Resorts membership costs will be 40%-75% less than prices on major travel sites, such as Orbitz and Expedia. GRN also has a professional and courteous customer service call center to assist you with reservations. This is not a voucher system. You will choose the date and property, make the reservation and pay, just like with any other travel provider.

Global Resorts is not a timeshare membership. If you have ever been the owner of a time share, you know that there are usually limits of one or two weeks per year that you may travel. Also, most time share owners are hit with annual maintenance fees, which can be several hundred dollars extra per year.

Global Resorts Network offers two different membership levels, making the product quite affordable for most families. The lifetime membership (Platinum level) is $2995 per year. The Gold Membership is $1495, and grants three years of unlimited access. The cost of vacationing with a family of four averages $2,000-$4,000 per week. The membership will pay for itself many times over.

The GRN business opportunity is optional for anyone who purchases a Gold or Platinum membership. If you have ever attempted to create an extra income stream with network marketing, this is a very different type of compensation plan.

As a GRN affiliate, you can earn $500 commissions for Gold memberships and $1,000 commissions for Platinum memberships. There are bonus overrides also built into the compensation plan. This is not an Aussie 'two up' plan. You will pass up your first commission to your sponsor, but all subsequent commissions will belong to you.

When your new team members makes their first sale, that commission now rolls up to you. This feature is what continues to reward sponsors for assisting their downline people. This creates a very positive relationship between each sponsor and new associate.

You can plug immediately into one or more approved GRN marketing systems, such as Truth to Wealth, Global Pro Builder or GRN BizBuilder. These all require monthly fees. Or, you can use the default corporate GRN site and be up and running very quickly.
