What Are Acid Reflux Allergies?
Peter de Vizard
Acid reflux allergies can be caused by certain spicy foods. Acid reflux allergies are triggered by all foods in all people, it is dependent on each person. This does not mean, that acid reflux (also know as gastroesophageal reflux disease) is caused by allergies to a specific food.
Acid reflux is the condition where some stomach acids or stomach contents back up into the throat or, in some cases the mouth. Frequent occurrences of acid reflux can mean that there is something wrong with your esophagus muscles. Some foods can cause more allergies to occur. These are mainly spicy or, in some cases dairy foods such as the cheese on pizza.

Foods that can cause Acid Reflux Allergies
Most people think that allergies appear through skin eruptions with hay fever like symptoms. There are also some reactions that can occur in the stomach lead to other reflux disease. Acid reflux allergies against certain foods may not be easy to identify because people may not expect an internal allergic reaction. We are condition to expect all allergic reactions to be a form that we can easily see, rather that the stomach reaction.
Cow's milk (and other dairy products) can cause acid reflux allergies. Lactose intolerance can trigger heartburn symptoms which can contribute to the reaction. The reaction of the stomach to cow's milk can easily trigger a reaction which will cause the stomach to induce vomit. This can normally be controlled, however the acids are still passed into the esophagus and cause uncomfortable burning sensation.
Other foods that may cause acid reflux allergies or it can occur von its own. Some citrus fruits, chocolate, most dairy products and foods that are deep fried or too oily may cause discomfort. Self-education on what foods can cause your acid reflux allergies will help in managing and dealing with it. Although, there is little difference between plain acid reflux and acid reflux allergies, other than the triggers, knowing what causes it is a step in the right direction.
