By: Spencer McNight

Creating a Bowflex Diet Routine

You can work out all you want, but you will never see any results unless you create a proper diet. If you are using the Bowflex machine, you are going to want to create a customized Bowflex diet routine which will help you to lose weight and gain muscle.

Getting Started

The first step to creating a Bowflex diet routine is to establish the fact that there are six basic essentials that the body requires in order to function well: protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and water.

It is important that you have at least six to eight ounces of high protein foods daily, so make sure that you include this in your Bowflex diet routine. Protein is important for your body to be able to repair tissues and help muscles grow.

You also need to eat enough grains, because your body does need high carbohydrate foods in order to function properly. You want to look for whole grain and whole wheat cereals, breads, crackers, and pastas for extra nutrition.

Also in your Bowflex diet routine you need to include at least five servings of fruits and vegetables each day. Vegetables are important because they provide the body with much needed vitamins, which is why some people need to take supplements is because they are not getting enough of these vitamins.

Fruit is also important because it provides the body with important amounts of vitamins A and C, as well as potassium. If you really want fruit that is full of potassium try eating a banana each day, because they are full of it.

Last but not least, it is imperative that you drink enough water each day. This is one of the most major staples that will need to be included in your Bowflex diet routine, and you should be drinking at least six to eight glasses a water of day. Most people, when they actually sit and think about it, realize that they are only drinking maybe one to two glasses of water a day, if that.

It is really surprising when you think about it, and no wonder that so many of us get sick so often, because our bodies are being depleted of water and we become dehydrated. As a result the body can end up developing a number of different ailments, so it is crucial that you keep yourself hydrated.

Drink a glass of water with each meal and a few in between, and within as little as a few days you will start to notice the differences.
