What is a Motorcycle Exhaust Filter?
There are many different parts that make up a motorcycle, but one of the most important is the motorcycle exhaust filter. The motorcycle exhaust filter is a device that works by collecting any vaporized oil or liquid from the air venting from the engine of the bike.
There are actually two different types of motorcycle exhaust filter to choose from: the coalescing variety and the capturing variety. The first is a type of exhaust that collects and recovers the precious liquid and returns it to the pumping chamber, and the second, the capturing variety works by condensing the liquid and saving it in a receptacle.
Exhaust Pipes
If you are the owner of a motorcycle then you should be aware of how the right motorcycle exhaust pipes can make a huge difference in your bike, not only in the way that it runs but in the way that it looks as well. There are some great custom made and fitted exhaust pipes to choose from, which can completely change the look and feel of your bike.
You can choose to get slimmer and sleeker pipes or you can go all out and overwhelm the side of your bike with huge chrome pipes, it all depends on your own personal preferences.
There are two different major categories to choose from with these exhaust pipes: the full exhaust system and the slip-on system. The full exhaust system is connected to the head of the engine of your bike whereas the slip-on version connects to the opening on the bike your stock muffler would usually be found.
Although the full exhaust system is typically the preferred, the slip-on system is ideal for smaller sized bikes.
Remember that the purpose of these pipes is to keep the gases that are coming out of the combustion chamber as far away from your bike as possible, because the heat and smoke of the gases would cause damage to the exterior of the bike. The front tire would melt if you did not have a proper exhaust pipe on your bike, and the sound would be so loud that you probably would not be able to bear it.
You also have another option when it comes to your motorcycle exhaust pipe, and that is to break down the exhaust pipes into smaller compartments because this will result in routing the exhaust gases backwards and forwards, sort of like they are traveling through a maze.
