Riding Down The Road On My Motorbike
Why do people like to buy and ride motorbikes? If you ask any owner they will tell you that a motorbike means freedom and that there is just something revitalizing about driving a motorbike down the road and feeling the air hitting your face and the open road out in front of you. One piece of advice, you may want to wear goggles as you are cruising down the road because the air is not the only thing that smacks you in the face as you are cruising down the road on your motorbike. Bugs are notorious for making a motorbike into a horrible experience so just be certain you take the necessary precautions before you head out to the freedom of the wide open road.
Some people also say that the sound of the motorbike as it is barreling down the road can be the most soothing thing they have ever heard. In reality, while that sound may be soothing to the motorbike owner it is certainly not very soothing to the people that are having to listen to it as it screams down the highway. Some people purposely open up their exhaust just to make their motorbike louder and announce them as they are rolling down the street. I am certain that this is a wonderful status symbol to the people that are riding the bikes but to those of us that are just trying to sleep in a little on a Saturday morning they are probably the single biggest nuisance ever created. But, that feeling of freedom and the ability to express yourself are just two of the reasons why some people like the motorbike. You can also use it as a form of transportation believe it or not.
Just Getting To Work
Another reason why people like to buy and ride a motorbike is the savings it can get you in gasoline. There are some people that just like the practical way that a bike can save you money on your monthly fuel bill and can help you get to work everyday for a lot less than fueling up your car every week. Of course if you have a job where you have to wear a suit and a tie then it may be a good idea to try and wear riding clothes going into work and then change in to your suit and tie, but even then it can still save you a lot of money every month. The key is to not spend that money getting bugs off your suits at the drycleaners.
As gas prices go up there may come a day when more and more people are going to invest in a motorbike to save on gas. But it also helps that there is a certain feeling of freedom that comes with riding down the road on a powerful bike. It may not be a high society status symbol but, then again, does it really matter?
