A Few Instances Of Bikers Making Individual Longest Motorcycle Jump

There are numerous examples of bikers making extra long motorcycle jumps and if you are interested in viewing some of these jumps, then you should check out websites such as YouTube where there are a number of videos pertaining to different attempts at making the longest motorcycle jump. It, in fact, is one of those human achievements which have attracted all sorts of bike riders and from all parts of the world who have all attempted to set records for the longest motorcycle jump and many of these records have stood the test of time, while others have been bettered.

Ryan Capes Did About 260 Feet

One of these supposed longest motorcycle jumps has been attributed to a biker called Ryan Capes who spent a whole day in making longest jumps that culminated in his attempt to set the world record. Astride a 250cc motorcycle, Ryan Capes flew from a ramp into the air and landed on a dirt landing ramp about two hundred and sixty feet away. This is one instance of the longest motorcycle jump that was made on September 19th in the year 2003 at Las Vegas Speedway, Las Vegas, Nevada, and in fact, not satisfied with this record achieving feat, Capes now hopes to surpass even three hundred feet in the near future.

Another recorded instance of the longest motorcycle jump was recorded May 14th 2005 in Australia at the Queensland Raceway, Queensland where three people that comprised the members of a motorcycling stunt team known as Crusty Demons set three individual records. The first was set by Clint Debner who jumped an impressive 26.3 meters on a 124 cc bike. The second was set in the form of longest trick jump in which the bike leapt two hundred and forty-six feet on a Superman Seat Grab, while the third was set by Jamie Barkla who jumped 45.4 meters on his Yamaha YFZ450 quad bike.

Yet another claimant to having made the longest motorcycle jump is a biker called Trigger Gumm, who while riding a five hundred cc motorcycle at the same Queensland Raceway in Australia on May 14th 2005 leapt a total distance of 277.5 feet.

Thus, people have ridden on different types of motorcycles and set individual records for the longest motorcycle jump and it has to be admitted that the quest to create individual records has attracted some of the best riders who are masters in the art of making their bikes leap into the air to maximum distances. One thing is for sure, each new day a fresh attempt is being made and records will be broken sooner rather than later, which is what makes this human endeavor so attractive though dangerous as well.
