What You Need To Know About iPhone Earphones
Buying an iPhone is like buying a house or a car ? it’s not all included. Although iPhones are sold with a pair of iPhone earphones, they are genrally considered to have inferior sound quality. You have to keep shelling out for what you want it to do. One of the things you might like to do with your iPhone is listen to music and videos as you dash about your day. In order to do that and not have everyone within a one mile radius of you scream, "Will you turn that bloody music off?" you need iPhone earphones (usually known as "earbuds").
Do They Have To Be From Apple?
Although Apple would prefer you buy everything having to do with the iPhone from them, you don’t have to in the case of iPhone earphones or earbuds. Since its release in 2007, many gadget companies have been able to figure out what makes the iPhone tick. You can use any brand of earphone that is recommended for an iPhone. Many people find that their Black Berry earphones also work for iPhones.
In one sense, it’s a case of trial and error to see if the earphones for sale at the mall will work for your iPhone. If you do think of picking up a set of earphones that are not clearly marked as for use with iPhones, then at least find out if your earphones are returnable before you purchase them. Many times for non-Apple brand iPhone earphones, you also need to purchase an adapter of some sort.
Earbuds
The most popular type of iPhone earphones are the tiny bud types that you insert into your ear instead of placing a set of earphones on the top of your head, with the speakers over your ears. Many people ? this writer included ? cannot wear insertable iPhone earphones for two reasons.
The first is that most earbuds are too big for my ears and constantly pop out. Another reason is that after a few minutes, my ears begin to painfully sore. If you get ear infections easily, then you need to stay away from earbuds. People like myself have to search long and hard in order to find any headphones that can be used that doesn’t cause pain. And then we chuck the idea of getting an iPhone and just use out old Walkmans.
Cord Management Systems
Now there are not just iPhone accessories ? but accessories for your iPhone accessories. Your iPhone earphones will come with long, thin cords that easily get tangled up. In order to help manage the cords, you could get a cord management system, which usually looks like a little plastic fish.
