A Fanatic For Every Occasion: International Motorcycle Shows
There is a collective of enthusiasts across the globe for just about anything you can think of. Fans of Star Trek or Star Wars gather annually to celebrate their beloved science-fiction franchises. Film festivals are held all across the world for people who want to watch, review, or unveil the newest independent films. Owners of vintage automobiles or fans of cars in general flock to car shows to show their affection for older makes and models of famous automobiles, or to showcase their own car that they have poured endless hours of their time, sweat, and money into.
There is another group of people who, like the groups named above, share a common enthusiasm for something. Motorcyclists and cycle enthusiasts from many countries across the globe gather to show off their prized possessions, to swap stories, or to buy or trade. International motorcycle shows are becoming more and more popular, and will only become more widespread as time goes on.
Cycle World
One of the better-known international motorcycle shows is the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show. This event is sponsored by Toyota, and features many of the most famous and respected motorcycle manufacturers, including BMW, Harley Davidson, Aprilia, Buell, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Vespa, along with many others. For over twenty-five years, the Cycle World motorcycle show has brought cycle enthusiasts from many countries and many walks of life.
The Cycle World International Motorcycle Show will make 13 stops across the United States alone for its 2007-2008 season. Attendees from across the nation can see the latest products, services, and innovations first-hand during their stay. In addition to seeing the very best new products and vehicles, there will also be a wide variety of custom bikes, ATVs, and scooters to be seen there.
The original name of this prestigious show was the Great American Motorcycle and ATV Show and took place for the first tine in 1982. With each passing year, the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show attracts more and more attendees, culminating in a very successful season last year. In the 2006-2007 season, almost 600,000 motorcycle enthusiasts attended the shows.
