No Can't, No Newbie, Success at Last!
Randy - The Hermit - Baustert
Believe it or not, your mindset is more important than any of the knowledge you have. Henry Ford only had very limited formal education, but he had a desire and a mindset that actually forced him to achieve his goals. He is also the one that said, "Whether you think you can or think you can't you're right!"
Henry Ford's mindset created a completely new way for industry to create products and it could even be attributed to helping start the industrial revolution. Why? Simply because he had the desire to reach his goals and he wouldn't accept can't as an excuse.
Can't is a word that can stop you in your tracks. As soon as you accept that you can't do something then it is the truth, you can't. Don't let the word can't dissuade you from your goals. Think of can't like this:
C= Conveniently.
A= Accepting.
N= Negative.
T= Thoughts
Don't accept negative thought from yourself or anybody else. You are the only one that can give up on your goals and the only one that can accept these thoughts. You will reach your goals but only if you believe you can.
Just because you haven't discovered how to do something doesn't mean you can't do it.
Just because no one has done it before doesn't mean you can't do it.
All you need to do to achieve the things you think you can't do is to create a mindset that gives you a burning desire to accomplish you goals. You can do anything you just have to figure out how.
Besides can't there is another term you should avoid and that is newbie. "I am a newbie", is probably the most commonly used excuse that I hear.
I know this doesn't sound like an excuse, but it is. Gary Ambrose pointed this out to me a couple of years ago. When you say you are newbie, you are using that as an excuse. The reason for this is that you never say I am a newbie unless you need an excuse.
Question: What is your website?
Answer: I don't have one I am a newbie.
Question: What niche are you working in?
Answer: I don't have one I am a newbie.
Question: Have you started building your list yet?
Answer: No, I am a newbie.
As you can see all the answers were used as an excuse for not having something done. I know I used this as an excuse, when I started out, and you probably have too.
Taking action is the only difference between a newbie and a non-newbie. If you want to reach your goals you can't do it as a newbie so take some action no matter how small and move toward your goals.
