Despite my best efforts, and buying just about every home study course on website marketing and traffic generation, I found myself suffering from failure time and time again. I just could not seem to get the amazing results that all the gurus appeared to achieve. I often wondered what they were really doing that I wasn't.
I often hoped that these "experts" would truly reveal their real secrets and methods that were bringing their success to a little guy like me. I soon started to think that just wouldn't happen. of course, sometimes they will reveal "snippets" of information - but I'm sure the really juicy stuff is kept to themselves. In other words the big traffic generation secrets remain secrets.
Among the tips that are offered by the "gurus", many have flaws and problems.
For instance, using pay-per-click advertising for site traffic has it's drawbacks. Fundamentally, it cost money to participate. And there is no guarantee that your campain will attract any sales to cover this cost. Sadly, there is also no way that you can stop your competition click your ad to simply use up your budget.
SEO is often advised, but beware, the actual effort you need to put into search engine optimisation can be very high. You need to be able to research and analyze your keywords and make those keywords work for you on every page of your site. The effort required can be quite tough for most individuals.
Article writing is similar to SEO. You either need to spend a long time and a great deal of effort to write your articles - especially if you lack the creative ability. Or once again, you end up spending money to have your articles written for you.
There surely must be a superior way of generating that traffic for your site. Thankfully, there is!

Instead of trying to build your own mailing list from nothing, team up with those who already have big mailing lists.
