Wisely choosing an online business can be tough. There are many fabulous companies, products and people. So what is essential in an online or home business? Here are some helpful questions to ask when looking at an online or home based business:

2. Is a home inventory required? In today's most cutting edge businesses, this is not necessary. Most companies store their products and direct ship it is ordered from the customers you recruit. Many companies do everything online which is the most efficient method in today's world.
3. Does the company have integrity? This should be priority #1 on your list. Businesses with questionable ethics often do not last and all your hard work will go down the drain if that business goes under. Integrity is a must!
4. What is the weekly time requirement and long term? Initially, it can be more labor intensive. You are getting training about the products, mechanics, setting up your accounts, etc. Even with an easy system, it will still require some elbow grease.
5. How long will it take to make some green? Many businesses out there allow you to "earn while you learn". Look for at least 75% of the upfront commission when you make a sale. 6. Can you speak to the owners if you wish? If you can't speak with the owners or the corporate office via phone or webinar, forget it. Know who you are doing business with before you start. Too many places online have zero support services and it can take days to get the answer you needed yesterday.
7. Are you in it for the long haul? Program jumping divides your time, causes burn out, and loss of trust by your recruits. Many other business owners will want you to join with them because they know you have an entrepreneurial bent. Kindly reply "No". If you pick the right business in the first place, why would you want to jump ship and start the learning curve again?
8. Finally, ask yourself if this business fits in with your long term goals. Often you can find a business that will actually help you gain your other long term desires, as well as your monetary goals.
