It is less common to find children who do not attend a child care facility than it is to find children that stay at home with their mom or dad. The plus side of not growing up with their parents is that children learn how to play with others and how do operate in a school-type institution. They also learn that there are adults, other than their family, that they can trust.

* Is there a safety valve of having another daycare provider is your daycare program closes?
* When are the doors open and closed?
* How are the kids monitored while they are on the playground?
* What is the age of your playground gear?
* How often do you have your playground gear inspected? How are the kids arranged to use the equipment?
* Do you work with a child who has special needs? If so, how do you meet those needs?
* What is the education level of your daycare employees?
If you are thinking of hiring a nanny or babysitter, you should always do a child daycare background check that involves an extensive criminal history check. Do not let yourself feel bad for conducting this child daycare background check. These are your kids and you want to make sure they are safe. In the event that you are thinking of sending your kids to a daycare center or preschool you should also check the sex offender's database for the neighborhood that surrounds the center or school.
When running the background checks, you will also want to check out driving records. Though you may not care about there parking and speeding tickets, you probably want to know if they have a problem with alcohol or other abusive behavior.
