Finding Out Who Invented The Cell Phone
The cell phone is one of the most amazing gadgets in the world. Cell phones these days are capable of so many things that many are put in awe of their features and capabilities. Many give thanks to those who invented the cell phone for this truly innovative device. The question now is who invented the cell phone?
Tracing Mobile Phone History
The very first patent for a mobile phone was given to a certain Nathan Stubblefield who was from Murray, Kentucky in the year 1908. In spite of this the earliest record of a phone that used cellular technology came out in the year 1973. The managing director of Motorola at that time, Martin Cooper, was the first person to ever make a call from a handheld device that was not vehicle based and used cellular technology to communicate with others. So we could say that Martin Cooper, along with the engineers of Motorola were the people who invented the cell phone.
Cellular technology was actually invented way before the concept of the modern cell phone was thought of by those who invented the cell phone. This technology was used for communications but was limited by the excessive sizes of the means of communications used. These so called phones were the precursors of the modern cell phone from which those who invented the cell phone based their studies.
