Extreme Paintball Can Be A Great Sport

By: Baily Richards

Extreme Competition at Extreme Paintball

In the ever-changing, ever-growing world of paintball, experts are few and far between. From equipment to fields, professionals to trainers, experts must study and perform for years before they can be considered the go-to people in their disciplines. Paintball as a sport is only into its third decade, and as a national and international phenomenon, it is even younger. But for Extreme Paintball in Connecticut, paintball is more than a sport: it is a lifestyle.

All-Around Expertise

Extreme Paintball is a facility located in Connecticut with over fourteen years of business. It has the best safety record in the state and is insured and certified by the A.P.L. Many paintball facilities are nothing more than open fields or backyards, created out of abandoned barns by anyone with a little space. While paintball as a sport does not require much more than these accommodations, management is important for both integrity and safety. When operated unprofessionally, paintball facilities can become dangerous: weapons must be checked for safety, proper attire monitored, referees provided and drug and alcohol tests conducted before every match, and if these steps are skipped, a friendly sporting environment can turn malicious very quickly.

Extreme Paintball is owned by a man who has participated in the sport for over seventeen years, a true expert in every sense of the world. A professional paintball player for a team ranked in the top ten of the NPPL in the United States, he combines business savvy with passion, the knowledge of the sport with the knowledge of the operation. Offering six courses spread over 75 acres, Extreme Paintball is the prime location for expert players or beginners, individuals or groups. With wooden fields, speed ball fields and a sup-air course, Extreme Paintball can fulfill the needs of any player, seven days a week, all year long.

At Extreme Paintball, players can register for half-day competition or full-day competition. For players without equipment, guns, gear and clothing are available for rent from the Extreme Paintball pro shop. For those players who bring their own equipment, referees are sure to check each piece for safety. No players are allowed to bring their own paintballs; paintballs are provided for a minimal fee on site, once again ensuring that all players and equipment are up to code. Extreme Paintball also sponsors numerous local teams of all ages, providing funding, equipment and practice facilities for both amateur and professional teams hoping to earn national recognition in the sport of paintball. And any player, enjoying the sport for the first time or the tenth time, could find him or herself on a team in no time, especially with the right passion, the right soul and the right mindset.
