You would have to have lived in a bubble not to have heard all the negative publicity for foods that contain caffeine you know the types of things... coffee, cola and every ones fave chocolate. Much of the negative vibe have been around the levels of caffeine in these products and how that can be harmful to us. But hold on just a minute, I might be able to cheer you up some what, caffeine has been show to have a positive effect on the memory.
It's pretty common for you to experience some sort of short term memory loss. It might be where are your car keys or did you leave the faucet running or did your lock the door before going to work. These sorts of things play on our mind and in some cases you may be so worried you drive home from work or call a neighbour to check or you need to go and re-check the faucet is turned off.
We all lead hectic lives and it's easy in day to day activities to forget things occasionally. It might be our minds don't compute as well because of other distractions or concerns. This is by no means rare and at some stage most people will experience this sort of memory loss regardless of age.
In the years have gone buy you might have noticed how your memory has been less effective than it used to be. If this is the case it could be worth considering if caffeine might help charge up your short term memory.

A morning cup of coffee or tea at breakfast can be a simple but highly effective boost to the memory which might help see you through a hectic day at your peak. Also if you notice a drop in performance after lunch you might have a drink of cola or eat a small bar of dark chocolate as this will get your mind back on track when it starts to wander.
