If you need to take their bug repellent qualities to go, you can simply break off some leaves and rub them onto your skin. Again, you need to be careful with this plant because it grows quickly and can be invasive.
These plants are just a few of the many natural pest repellents, neem oil is another natural pesticide. A good rule to keep in mind to know which ones will work is that any plant with a strong odor tends to keep insects away. Luckily for humans, the lemon scent is the most pleasant to us, while repelling insects more than the other smells.
