We spend many hours of each day in the home and we spend most in the bedroom to sleep and recover. The Feng Shui Bedroom is a design created by ancient masters to capture the most effective use of positive energy called 'chi' which in turn greatly affects our wealth prospects our fortune our health and especially our love and family relationships.
1. Do colours matter? Feng Shui has a great deal to say about colours in the home and in the Feng Shui bedroom design a basic rule is to keep red out of this area. Red can be used for other areas however it is an energy colour and for rest and recreattion and balanced flow of chi for sleep keep away from red.
2. Some bedrooms are a mini libary and the bedroom in Feng Shui is designed to keep out all symbols of arousal or action. A libary is about mind activity and this symbol carries with it active chi energy which prevents good sleeping patterns for recovery. This is not to say you should not read before sleep as this can be beneficial but the larger symbolic libary should be removed.
3. There are many 'don'ts' when it comes to your bedroom and that's because it is meant to be a quiet inactive restful space for your body and mind. High on the list of don'ts is the mirror. This is a Feng Shui bedroom basic - Never have a mirror facing your bed where your image is viewable. This creates an expansion of energy and that's the last thing you need at night rest.
4. A modern problem is the ensuite!. This attached bathroom ensuite is about elimination and cleansing. It has static water in its toilet bowl and in Feng Shui this is symbolic of wealth either being eliminated or inactive. So just keep the door shut. Flowing water in other parts of your house, particularly the living area, is great for wealth attraction but avoid static water in the bedroom apart from a glass of water by the bed which will do no harm.
