Six Pack Abs - Don't Go Through Life Without Them!

It Is Crazy That So Few People Have Six Pack Abs!
Why is it that 6 pack abs are so prevalent in magazines and movies, but not so common in the real world. Remember Brad Pitt in Fight Club, or Daniel Craig in "James Bond"? What about Jessica Alba in "Into the Blue". Do movie stars have a different physiology than normal folks? Of course not! I think the main reason that people don't have 6 pack abs is that they don't believe it is possible or realistic for them. Believe me, you can get amazing abs with the proper approach. Yes, just as good as Will Smith in "I Am Legend".
Toned Abs are More Impressive Than Any Heavy Weights Lifted in the Gym
Many people are impressed with men and women who are exceptionally strong. If I go into your gym and have everyone lift up their shirt, I am betting that less than 5% have six pack abs (maybe less than that). If I take the same people and have them do a one rep max on the bench press, I am certain that over 20% can bench over 225 pounds. The funny thing is that getting 6 pack abs takes less time than getting strong enough to bench 225 pounds. If you have worked out for any period of time and don't have washboard abs, you are simply spending your time in the gym doing the wrong things.
Your Entire Body Will Get Toned on Your Path to Getting 6 Pack Abs
Fat around your stomach is usually the last part of your body to lose fat. Women have it even tougher than men because they have this stubborn area along with the butt and thighs. If you get to the point where you lose fat over your midsection, the body fat over your entire body will have melted off. It is very common to see guys with toned arms but a fat stomach. You never ever see a guy with ripped abs and fat shoulders and arms. I can tell you with complete certainty that if you have a toned mid section, your entire body will be extremely defined.
A Washboard Stomach is 80-90% About Diet and Cardio
I swear that you could drop all those crunching and sit up movements and get amazing abs. How do I know this? Well, I haven't done a crunch in over 5 years and my abs are more defined then ever. Have you ever seen the TV show "Survivor"? By the end of the show almost every person has really defined six pack abs and I know that none of them got there by ab exercises. You don't want to go to that extreme, but it does show you what low body fat will do.
Crunches and Ab Exercises Don't Play a Significant Role In Getting 6 Pack Abs
If you are paranoid about not doing crunches, then include 3-4 sets. That being said, the majority of your time should be spent on intense cardio. Exercise bikes are okay, but I find that running is better. With running on a treadmill or outside, your abs and core have to stabilize your upper body. This is a great way of firming your midsection while stripping off that layer of fat.
Summary: You probably just need to increase the cardio and decrease the calories if you don't have six pack abs. I know it sounds almost too simple, but believe me it will work for you.
