What Breckenridge Colorado Ski Resorts Do Not Offer

Jim Mandl

This entire experience offers some real options when considering a Breckenridge Colorado Ski Resort. After detemining that spectacular Breckenridge Colorado is your desitnation for your next ski trip, its time to start planning.

But it hit me that all of my past ski vacation have included a party of friends along for the experience. We all made our way to Denver, drove across the divide heading west along I-70, catching up on stories, laughing and taking in the sites along the snow covered roads on the way to our ski resort. We have arrived in Colorado Ski country and we love it! After the mild trek to get to Breckenridge, which is an integral part of the experience, we hunt down our ski resort in the old town of Breckenridge, check in and disperse into our own rooms. After some in-resort phone tag we decide to meet in the lobby to go out for dinner, so we can continue our vacation together. And this where it hit me for the first time more later.

When we gather in the lobby of our Breckenridge Ski Resort, the conversation builds and we take forever to get out the front door and into our SUV to make our way down to Main Street Breckenridge for some food. We eat at Breckenridge Brewery; our vacation is off to a great start. After a few of Colorado's finest brews, we make our way back to the ski resort, make a time to hit the slopes in the morning and disperse to our rooms. Here it hits me again wow!

The skiing in Breckenridge was awesome. Both weather and slope cooperated nicely. Each day we tried ourselves out on the slopes, met back at the resort and dined together. The only problem that kept repeating was the limited time spent together.

It hit me soon after we arrived the first day at our Breckenridge Colorado Ski Resort and had been on my mind a few times since. What are we not all staying in the same place? Why are we at this resort, which is nice and all, but then each of us going our separate ways for the better part of each evening? Then it hit me; we should have rented a condo or home in Breckenridge. It was obvious, like the tree I was heading toward on the second day when I suddenly realize I cannot avoid the impending collision. Perfect; a Breckenridge home rental would have been the best of both worlds brought together. If we had the forethought to look for a condo rental or home rental we could have all staying in the same common area. We could have eaten in the condo. We could have continued our conversations. The party would never end, unless we retired to our room, in our condo. What a perfect solution!

I think a few of us we now thinking it, although it did not come up until the last night of out ski vacation. I am not sure who mentioned it first, but soon we were all talking about renting on our next trip to Breckenridge. We only wish we had this breakthrough prior to booking this trip.
