If you live in area where the snow falls heavily during the winter season, there isn’t really much you can do outdoors during this time of the year. Aside from shoveling snow and building snowmen in the yard, there isn’t really much you can do outdoors during the winter so top fretting about winter lawn care. Worrying about winter care will not make things any better. The best thing that you can do at this point is to protect your lawn from further damage by keeping the minimum amount of traffic over your snow covered lawn. Try not to let people walk across your frozen lawn so often. Note that while walking on the frozen lawn, your weight can put more pressure in the ice on the grass underneath it. Such pressure could wear out the grass underneath and will eventually kill it.

On the other hand, if you live in the Southern part of the country where you don’t really have to worry about snow, there are plenty of things that you can do to take care of your yard during the winter. Note that even if you do not have snow in your place, the winter season can still affect your plants. Most plants change the colors of their leaves at this time of the year so your need to pay more attention to them. Bear in mind that plants are more vulnerable during this time of the year so be attentive to the needs of your lawn.
