There’s really no doubting the power of the Internet. I can pop open my laptop and transfer funds to anyone I please in a heartbeat. I can send a quick message to anyone with an email account in seconds flat. I can even find information on what ever topic I choose 24 hours a day. How amazing is this technology! It’s hard to believe anything can top the World-Wide-Web. There are even services available that some folks don’t know about. Take a people finder search engine for instance. When was the last time you used one of these?
So there was this friend I had back in high school. I hadn’t seen the guy since I moved away from Iowa and down to North Carolina at the age of 15. Suddenly I’m 26 years old and wondering how this fellow is doing. What did he do with his life? Did he go to college or pursue a career in basketball? Well, it was time to find out. This is when I turned to the trusty Internet for answers. I quickly found a people finder search engine that allowed me to punch in his name. This in return would give me the results of everyone found with that name. Naturally it helps if you have a middle initial to add. But, at least you have an idea of their past location. This can help a great deal. Heck, maybe they even stayed in the same vicinity. As it turned out, I was able to find 42 matches with that same name. I narrowed it down to two by past addresses. And what do you know; I found the guy’s current phone number and address. He was still living in the same state. I contacted him and had a good chat. There’s nothing like reminiscing on old times.
Try an online people finder search using your name. I did this yesterday and came up with 56 matches. Holy cow! And I actually thought my name was fairly unique. I suppose when I consider that it’s out of at least 300 million people here in America, it’s not really that bad. I also tried it with my wife’s maiden name, which is pretty darn common. The engine told me that there were too many results to process. This naturally annoyed her. Anyway, if you’re trying to find someone, give the web a shot. They’re probably listed.
