Krylon Spray Paint Can Be A Great Way To Paint

By: Nicky Patterson

I have been a fan of good, high temp spray paint for as long as I can remember. Of course, I did not start out using it for good. When I was a kid, I would go out and buy a bottle of Krylon spray paint for the purpose of graffiti art. I still remember what Krylon spray paint colors I used for my first tag. It was red and gold, and looked terrible.

At the time, however, I thought it was the most artistic thing ever. I felt brave and daring for having written my name on the side of a building. I lived in a pretty conservative community, so it was a bold thing for me to do. I even covered it over with a layer of Krylon clear coat paint. I was so convinced that I was a young artist, bravely defying convention, that I wanted my tag to stay there forever. Unfortunately, it was painted over the very next week.

Nonetheless, my reign of hooliganism with Krylon spray paints continued for some time. Soon, I had every Krylon stay paint color that there was. I was a sort of collector. I even had colors that I would never use. I had this ugly, atrocious beige color sitting right next to my bright red Krylon spray paint. It wasn’t long before I talked my friends into coming along with me.

Most of them were pretty good kids, and I was definitely the bad influence. It was not that I came from a bad family. Far from it. My parents set a fine example. The problem is that they trusted me too much, and I was a bit too clever for them. I hid the Krylon spray paint well, and was always in bed before they awoke. I did all of my Krylon spray painting at night, and never got caught by the cops. Never, that is, until that one fateful night.

I had just bought a new can of Krylon spray paint, replacing my black which, had just run out. This time, I had a whole audience with me. My tags had become legendary. I felt like such a local celebrity that I even had an entourage. The kids would come with me, carrying my Krylon spray paint in an army surplus backpack. When the cops rolled up and caught everyone, however, my celebrity was instantly flipped on its head. Suddenly, I was the reason that everyone got busted. It just goes to show you how fickle fame is.
