There are times when I know I buy bad gifts. I don't mean to, and I always have the best of intentions. There are just times when I have run out of time to shop and I have no idea what to get. I do my best, but sometimes things are just off the mark. I have gotten my fair share of bad ones too, but I know the intentions behind most of them have been good ones. Besides the pair of nylons an aunt got me once when I was seven, I can appreciate all gifts, even the bad ones. One year I got a bar set for my sister in law, and thought she would think it was a bad gift, but in reality, she loved it.
I know that people say they love things to be nice, but when I was at her house after Christmas, I noticed that my sister in law was using the bar set that I got for her. She thanked me again and told me that it was something she was thinking of getting, but she had never gotten around to it. She also told me that she knew three people who could use bar set, and I had given her a great idea for their birthday gifts throughout the year. Apparently what I thought might not go over so well is a great gift for those who do some drinking now and again.
Not everyone drinks, and that means the bar set is not the best idea for everyone. There are different types you can get, and if you think about what a person likes, you can usually find a bar set that they will love. I have a friend that loves wine, and I noticed that someone had gotten her a set that went with her love of wine. It was rather simple, but it was also very nice. Apparently, these sets are quite popular as gifts, and if someone could use one, they are always a great idea.
When you think about a bar set for someone you know, think about what they like to drink. You can get an all around set like the one I got for my sister in law, or one that goes with wine that my friend had. You can also find some things for those that like to do shots on occasion, and some for those that love nothing more than a great mixed drink on a hot summer night. Beer drinkers are more simple, but you can find a great bar set for them as well.
