Is It Possible To Reverse Diabetes?

By: Evan Tyler

Ways to Reverse Diabetes

There are a few ways in which a diabetic may be able to reverse diabetes. The first is to quit eating unhealthy foods. Second get off the antidepressants. Third, make sure to exercise. All of these ways put together and your drive to reverse diabetes may help in the fight of your disease.

Unhealthy Foods

To help reverse diabetes stop eating sugars that are unnatural to one's body. These sugars include table sugar and white flour. Some of these foods that are included in the unnatural sugar category is breads, cereals and pastries. Also, foods like candy and pizza sauce have the unnatural sugar. Soft drinks are another item on the list of unnatural sugars that should eventually be eliminated from the diet when trying to reverse diabetes. These refined sugars and carbohydrates strain the pancreas that produces natural insulin in your body.

Switching to foods such as whole grain breads will help eliminate the unnatural sugar intake your eats. Another option is switch from drinking soda to drinking tea. Another means to reverse diabetes is use natural sweeteners such as nectar.

Taking it slow by weaning your body off these foods may be more effective than going cold turkey with these foods items. The cravings you will have will make it hard to quit these unhealthy foods all at once. So, weaning yourself off of them one at a time may be the way to go.

No More Antidepressants

Antidepressant drugs interfere with the body's blood sugar metabolism, so instead of helping it is detrimental to the reversal of diabetes. Therefore, antidepressants make diabetes worse making it harder to reverse diabetes. It would be better to find a natural way of getting the same type of medicine that these medications give the body.

Exercise

The key to reverse diabetes is a life filled with exercise. Every day it is important to do some type of physical exercise, whether it be jogging or walking. It is better to jog or walk for a few minutes a day than walk or jog only once in a week's time. Building a tolerance to exercise will come with time so you will be able to have better and much longer workouts.

There is no designated exercise for the reverse of diabetes. All exercises work well to build up the metabolism and replenish the body's blood sugar. The best exercise of course is the one you like and know you can stick with.

These ways to reverse diabetes are an all or nothing. If you want to be diabetes free you cannot live the way you always have with sugary foods and no exercise. As the saying you cannot have your cake and eat it, too.
