I feel uniquely qualified to tell you about the best online dating because that is how I found my wife. Things have changed a little and now the best online dating sites are not what they used to be. A whole new generation of websites has started to take over and they do not currently have a good reputation. The online dating industry has neglected to police itself for so long that now there are good ways to find dates online and bad ways and sometimes those bad ways can get pretty dangerous if you do not watch it.
The Way It Was
It used to be that the best online dating websites were the free ones. Yeah, you would get the occasional spammer that would be on there trying to advertise a porn website, but for the most part the best online dating was safe and fun. Run by Yahoo and AOL, these were the best online dating sites more so than any other website out there. But things change, and first it was the porn spammers that really started to take over the free sites. Something happened somewhere along the line where the major companies stopped policing their free online dating sites and the porn spammers just took over. Now almost everything on the free dating sites is porn related and it is becoming very difficult to find an honest ad anymore.
Evil People And A Possible Solution
The next thing that happened to the free online dating websites is the sexual predators started coming around. When people really started using these sites to find dates and meet the scum of the earth decided that these sites would be great ways to trap unsuspecting victims and pull of their cowardly crimes. Unfortunately, they were right and to this day you still hear about people that fell prey to someone they met on a free online dating website. It is truly sad, but it is becoming a way of life.
The one thing you can do is avoid the free websites. Today the best online dating is done with the sites that charge because with those sites running an online dating site is all they do, so they monitor and police themselves much better than the free sites do. It isn't like it used to be when it was free, but it still works today. With common sense, you can still find a friend and not a fiend online.
