Solar Power Air Compressor Useful In Many Applications
Just like the ones designed to work by being plugged into a vehicle, a solar power air compressor can be useful for many applications. Many of the smaller units are designed to run on 12-volt power, the type available in most vehicles, and can be connected to a solar panel to provide power. While the size and cost of a solar panel array to provide enough power to operate a large compressor, a small solar power air compressor can be used in a variety of applications.
For example, when at the beach and an air mattress needs inflated, a solar power air compressor can blow it up a lot quicker than most people can, and it will not suffer the light headedness associated with this activity. They can also be used to inflate sport equipment such as basketball and footballs, without the need to run to the local gas station and pay a quarter to use their air.
When a portable air compressor is plugged into a car and the car is not running, it will still drain power from the battery. If it is used often enough or long enough the battery will go dead. In many cases they weigh about the same as a hand or foot pump and take up about the same amount of space. There are times when the car's plug may not be working and the solar compressor will be a blessing to have around.

Especially important is the times when the car may be parked far away and the walk to the vehicle may not seem worth it just to inflate a toy or a mattress.
