Baby Jacket Considerations

By: Quinn Redmond

Almost from birth, babies are notoriously fussy. They are also quite fragile creatures. That is why it is so important to find the right baby jacket. Living in Michigan, I am no stranger to extreme weather. In the summer, it can pass one hundred degrees and get extremely muggy. In the winter, it can drop below zero with wind chill taking it even lower. Between freak rain storms, occasional bouts of hail, and all the rest of it, learning to dress your baby properly is one of the most important tasks of being a parent.

Usually, I have three baby jackets with me at all times. This might seem neurotic, But I was try to be prepared for freak weather. Little Chloe's favorite baby jacket is made out of pink yarn. It is actually a crochet baby jacket Made by her grandmother and fortunately, she adores it. I am glad. Grandmother is unhappy when she makes gifts for the children that aren't appreciated. When, for example, Jim refused to use the blanket she made him, She was furious at him, even though he is only two years old. The fact that Chloe likes her baby jacket has really done a lot to smooth things over between us.

I also always take a baby rain jacket with us. Surprisingly, she likes it. This is fortunate, as baby rain jackets are unpopular among many little kids. As much as kids hate getting cold and wet, they also hate the sticky, thick feeling of a vinyl raincoat. Nonetheless, if you have a rain jacket with the right designs on it which looks pretty on the baby, you might be able to win them over to your side. Just because your baby is too young to have said his or her first word doesn't mean that he can't be swayed by psychology. A pretty baby jacket will still earn points.

Of course, the third baby jacket is a problem. It is actually more of a baby coat. It is thick, heavy, and probably very uncomfortable. I know that Chloe cries every time she sees it. Trying to get her into it in winter is a nightmare, let me tell you. I have taken her shopping to try on other baby jackets, but she doesn't like any of them. She just doesn't like thick, heavy clothes, but she needs to wear them. After all, I don't want her to get a chill.
