Search Phone Listings And People Search

By: Glen Jackson

So there I was, out at a night club, doing the typical college thing. I was strolling from room to room with my best friend. And yes, there are several rooms in some clubs. Not every one is a little dive like you find near many college campuses, I speak from experience. This particular club had three distinct rooms. One was a grand techno room, another was a hip-hop room, and the last one was a 70s room. No, I don't know why they felt compelled to stick in a 70s room, but it's there either way! Anyway, we were lounging at a corner table, sipping on a couple neon test-tube drinks, when these two girls approached. They were both attractive and looking friendly. We offered them a seat and they accepted. After a bit of routine small talk, they proceeded to leave. I abruptly asked one for her number. She said that she doesn't give her number out to club-hoppers, and that this really wasn't her scene. She told me her name was Tammy Smith and if I really wanted to ask her out sometime, I'd take the initiative to look her up. And so I did! But, do you know how many Tammy Smiths there are in any given city? Luckily I was able to easily search phone listings on the web.

Thank God for the Internet! Without it, I would have never found Tammy Smith's phone number. I at least new the town she was in. Let me tell you, she was shocked to hear my voice. Anyway, you've likely had an experience like this yourself. You meet someone while out and about, but you fail to get their phone number, but rather just a name. This is when you need to hop on the web and search phone listings. With any luck, their name will be fairly distinct or original. This makes it much simpler to find in the online white pages.

Okay, so what if you can't pinpoint that certain someone when you so tediously search phone listings? Hey, I've got an idea. Why not do an online people search? Use one of the various search directories and see what they can muster. Often these present you with numerous results, but reveal phone numbers, addresses and more. This makes it easier to find a particular someone with that name. I've done it before and have been successful. You can find anyone in this cyberspace obsessed world.
