I buy a lot of printer paper, even though I don’t print out a lot of things. I know this doesn’t make a lot of sense, but it makes perfect sense to me. Printer paper is not only good for use in your home printer. There are many other things you can use it for, and as time goes on, you may find more and more uses. Even better, this type of paper is often very inexpensive, as you can get thousands of sheets for under ten dollars. What can be a better deal than that?
I usually have to buy a new package of printer paper every other month. There are many things that I do print, but I do not print out enough things to use up this much paper. The reason I go through so much paper is my daughter. She is five years old, and loves to draw. She will spend some time with coloring books, but quite often she wants to draw her own pictures. She will often take ten or fifteen pieces of printer paper at a time, and will come back with a stack of beautifully drawn pictures.
Though at first my husband thought this was a waste of printer paper, and he soon realized that this was a great way to keep her busy. Not only does she loved to draw and give away her drawings to family members, this is also something that keeps her busy when she has nothing else to do. Though I don’t understand how a child with a roomful of toys can be so easily bored, I am happy that drawing on printer paper makes her so happy when she is otherwise unable to entertain herself. Even better, her family members always appreciate getting the drawings from her.
Printer paper can also be used for a number of other crafts. We have cut out paper dolls, and spent some time constructing and flying paper airplanes. We have also cut out many shapes, and even cut out some footprints to play Blues Clues in our house. I have also found that when she wants to send someone a card she has more fun folding a piece of printer paper in half and coloring her own card. I love that she has such a great imagination, and I’m glad that I have a great supply of paper to give her when she needs it.
