Along with water the most commonly and widely consumed beverage today the world over is Green Tea. However even though this particular beverage has only become popular in recent years throughout the Western hemisphere, the Chinese and Japanese have understood the health benefits that this particular beverage can offer for many centuries.
Although there are plenty of different types of tea a person can choose to drink many are opting for green tea, simply it has a much more refreshing and subtle taste to it. However this is the only disadvantage to be had from drinking this particular beverage and as long as person does not drink too much of it then the benefits actually outweigh any disadvantages.
Today more and more people are preferring to drink green tea rather than more traditional varities as well as coffee simply because of what it contains. The properties that are contained within green tea including the various different minerals and vitamins help to a person's body to remain functioning correctly. Plus it contains an anti oxidant agent which can help to remove toxins and other substances that can actually cause health problems in the future. Another major benefit to be had from drinking green tea over coffee is that it contains a chemical called thiamine whose properties are said to have a calming effect on the way in which the brain works. By drinking such a beverage many people have found it much easier to cope with the stresses and strains that modern living places upon them and their body.
Not only is green tea beneficial in helping the body to function property but because of the polyphenols contained within it this particular beverage has become popular with those trying to lose weight. The polyphenols are a group of chemical which contain anti oxidant properties and which help to remove substances and toxins from the body that are unwanted. The main reason why this particular tea seems to be beneficial in helping those wishing to lose weight is that is not fermented like other beverages so does not contain high levels of sugar in it.
In order to get the most out of your green tea it is best to buy the packs of the tea leaves rather than those that come in tea bags. Simply because by placing the leaves directly into the water you are allowing the tea a chance to release all the properties that are beneficial to your health and well being. Today however the biggest challenge a person will be faced with when it comes to drinking green tea is choosing which variety they wish to consume. As you will soon discover there is not just one type of green tea a person can use instead there are many.
So when it comes to choosing which green tea you will be drinking as part of your new healthy kind of lifestyle you should look for one of the more well known and easily recognizable varieties. One such tea you should consider trying is Sencha which is produced in China. Not only is this particular tea inexpensive to purchase but has a flavor which you will find extremely palatable.
Although the Sencha green tea from China has a very subtle and delicate flavor to it there are some people who prefer something a little more robust. Therefore if you want something that is a little stronger as well as being a much thicker liquid to drink you may want to consider trying Myou-Kou which comes from Japan. But both of these teas contain beneficial properties which help towards a person remaining fit and healthy. At the end of the day the green tea a person chooses to drink will be down to their own particular preference. Certainly many people who drink green tea today will try several different types before they actually find one that they truly like.
