Save Money when you Print Postage Online by Richard Palmer

Dymo, the company that makes those lovely label printers, has teamed up with Endicia to allow us all to print postage online from our PC's. This frees us from the need to stand in line at the local Post Office and offers the convenience of stamps on demand.

One would think that to print postage online, all you would need is a computer, an internet connection, a Dymo printer, and a subscription to purchase postage from the Endicia website. Actually, that is in fact all you need - but there is one small detail that isn't explained in the literature that comes with your printer nor on the Endicia website.

I purchased a Dymo Twin Turbo label printer and subscribed to the Endicia web site so I could purchase postage. Quick, easy, I was up and running in absolutely not time. I was relishing the fact that I no longer had to stand in line at my local Post Office to do my usual business and that I could do it all from my desk. Anyone who has spent a moment at the Post Office during the holidays can relate.

You will find it very satisfying to print postage online. The ability to bypass these things in life that slow us down like the Post Office is what technology is all about. Suddenly however, you find you need more blank stamps. You go to the Dymo or Endicia links to purchase more. That's when your jaw hits the floor. They want $20.49 for a roll of 200 stamps. THAT'S MORE THAN $.10 PER STAMP!!! Did you imagine in your wildest dreams that it would cost you 25% more to print your own stamps? Of course not.

I dug around on the web and found nothing. There was absolutely no one offering blank media for this printer. I was dumbfounded that to print postage online, I was hostage to these outrageous prices. I purchased more. Paid my $20 and grumbled the entire time I watched that roll get smaller.

With each roll I purchased, I became more disenfranchised with my purchase of this stamp printer. I loved being able to print my own postage, but was totally depressed that all I actually accomplished was increasing my postage overhead by 25%. This was a huge number for me and my small business. I did my homework and found I could manufacture these myself. I decided that I was consuming sufficient quantities that it would be worth the investment.

When I got to the bottom line of what it would cost to manufacture these blank stamps, I decided to share with the rest of the world my savings and to allow anyone else wanting to print postage online to enjoy the same quality product at substantial savings. After all of my start up costs and expenses, I still am able to sell these stamps for approximately $.03 per stamp.

We manufacture our stamps in rolls of 300 stamps per roll. If you do the math, that means we sell 33% more stamps for 50% less than our competition!!!!

So rest assured, that the spirit of competition, free enterprise, and the American Way is alive and well. For any of you who wish to print postage online, you now have an option beyond the usual and obvious purveyors of the online postage services.

Before you print postage online, make sure and check www.iPrintPostage.com and save over 50%. We sell Endicia 30915 compatible labels at a substantial savings. If you print postage online we can save you 75% on what you are currently paying. You are welcome to reprint this article - but get your own unique content version here.
