Premature Ejaculation Can Be Stopped
by Andrew John
Men are extremely afraid of premature ejaculation (PE), sometimes even more than impotency. They feel it is even more embarrassing to shoot off to early than not to shoot at all. A common problem of many youngsters, it shows up surprisingly often also among older and more experienced men. While PE may happen occasionally to anyone for little or no reason, if the problem persists for more than a few days, it means that some treatment is in order.
The major problem in treating PE is not the condition itself, but the men's attitude towards it. While the condition itself can be easily treated using either psychotherapy or prescription-free supplements, men still often decide it is impossible to get rid of it and try to hide their problems instead of fighting against it. And without you actively looking for medical help, there is little chance of a fairy showing up and magically getting rid of your ejaculation problems.
Most researchers believe that premature ejaculation is a behavior learned during the adolescence. Then couples often try to speed up the intercourse out of fear of being found by parents. This tendency remains in male's psyche, often buried deeply for years until it reappears because of stress or strong reminiscences from the times of adolescence. Because most PE cases are attributed to psychological reasons, they are usually treated by a group therapy. The therapy tries to change this behavioral pattern and replace it with other, more acceptable one. However, the therapy is not without faults - for one, men are not usually so open when it comes to discussing their own sexual problems.
On the downside, the therapy can only be effective to get rid of psychological mechanisms of PE, having only minimal impact on the body. This means that the positive changes introduced during the therapy show up only slowly and partially, especially if one has suffered from PE for a long time. The changes in one's hormonal balance while not permanent, usually need to be treated separately If a PE is to vanish completely. The answer has come only recently. Sex-pills, so far treated like dirt by many sexologists proved to be an effective weapon to combat PE. Some of their ingredients are Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI). While generally SSRIs are anti-depressants, researches have recently found out that they can strongly influence the hormonal balance making PE vanish almost overnight.
While some of those sex-pills are 100% synthetic, there is also a strong notion to go natural. The best pills available now are herbal supplements such as VigRXPlus. Their ingredients, especially Cuscuta extract and Gingko Biloba, use natural means to combat premature ejaculation. They are just as effective as synthetic SSRIs. What is even better, natural pills have no side effects and can be safely taken in any situation - though it is still recommended to consult with your doctor before starting the treatment.
