Strange Ghost Stories at the Old Sheep's Inn - Part 1 by A Kasady

If the research about this old building, situated on the outskirts of London, was to be believed then not all was well with this public house.

The inn has always been a public house since it was first built in the late 18th century. The cellar is split into many rooms, and was used as a holding cell for prisoners being brought to the courthouses in London.

It seemed as though many of the prisoners held here, never actually left alive. Katherine's investigation also led us to believe that many of them were actually killed here. The owners told us about the ghost sightings and paranormal activity that keep them awake at night.

Ghost instances include people seeing strange shadows, tables and chairs moving on their own and glasses being smashed. What interested us more, were the ghostly screams heard from the cellar. Staff at the inn refuse to go down there alone, particularly at night it occurs most often.

The team turned up and began our initial investigations into the workings of the building. We placed a glass in the middle of table in the bar area and around it laid some flour. Hopefully when we returned later on in the evening the glass would have been moved. We also placed some motion detectors in the hallway going from the bar to the cellar area to catch anything that may move through beams.

Annabel told us her first feelings of the building. In the bar area, she told us about the residual energy from the past 300 years and still linger in this old building. She could pick up on the smell of ale, and people talking loudly and laughing.

She found it very hard to concentrate here, as began to tell us something, just before she stopped. Annabel asked to leave for a few minutes to get some fresh air. This was something we had never seen before, and were quite shocked by her reaction.

After ten minutes outside, she returned and began to tell us about the energies in the building and how earlier she was about to speak, when somebody whispered in her ear "Those that will be judged will be done so here."

She saw a very strong image of a man tied up to a pole as he was being whipped to death. This image had been so vivid that Annabel had to go outside and take a breather to clear her mind.

Now that she was back in the bar, the ghostly image had returned again. She informed us that the voice she was hearing was from one of the old patrons of the inn, and that his name was Robert She told us that when criminals were bought here and held overnight, some of the soldiers escorting the prisoners had paid Robert to kill the men, so they could get rid of the prisoners on the way down to London. The soldier's would still be paid, and they could return home sooner than expected.
