Window tinting training

This article discusses the different window tinting training methods.
There is a lot of revenue involved in the window tinting business. Generally, this business can be divided into car, residences and commercial window tinting. A large percentage of the people who are just getting started, prefer to do commercial and residential properties, trying to stay away from the fierce competition in the automotive sector.
Despite the fact that you don't need a lot of money to get started, window tinting can be considered as an art. The process is not as simple as it may seem, so you need a lot of training to reach the level of experienced professionals. Your success in window tinting installation is influenced by the skills and techniques you posses.
Window tinting is one of the most profitable niches in the auto aftermarket industry. You don't need expensive equipment to get started, just a roll of film and a few common tools of the trade. Window tint shops typically charge about $150 for a 4 door car, while if you do it yourself, you would need about $50.
If you are a do-it-yourself type of guy, then you can save a lot of money, but it you need a certain amount of 'know-how'. The other key ingredient is experience in this area. Without knowledge or experience you don't stand a real chance, so the question is - how can you get high quality window tint training?
One option is to learn at a window tint shop. However, there is a major problem here, because you will be asked to sign a non-compete contract. The idea here is that those companies don't want to just give away their 'know-how' and techniques for nothing. According to this non-compete agreement, you don't have the right to open your own shop in the next 2-5 years.
An alternative is to visit window tinting seminars, but they don't come cheap either as the price is between $2,000 and $5,000 for 1-2 weeks. Yes, they are effective, but the price is quite high. Lately, the Internet has sort of changed all this introducing a new way of window tinting training.
Online courses are a very cost-effective way and you can also study at your own pace. You register a given website, pay with a credit card and receive access to videos, documents (pdf), pages and you can also forward any questions you may have to real professionals. Those online programs are categorized depending on the skill - starter, pro and advanced.
The window tinting business holds an opportunity for you! Window tinting can be learned right where you are, at your own pace, and can be done part-time for extra money while you slowly develop your skills until you are ready to take the "plunge" and open your own shop. If you already have car shop, then you can add this service and bring some additional revenue.
