Building up your muscles will cause you to burn fat more efficiently. Good, strong muscles will not only make you feel better, but your metabolism will be increased and you will burn more calories.
Plodding away on a treadmill is simply "putting in time". There's no intensity and therefore it's not a very efficient way to burn fat. Building muscle requires high intensity exercise and not long duration.
This high intensity is what's going to get you a full, fat-burning workout done in just 12 minutes. You'll burn some caloires during the exercise, but you'll burn a whole lot more in the next 24 hours.
Adding muscle burns calories. Why? Because your body is working - even while you're sitting around - building new muscle fibers and repairing the old ones. This activity burns a lot of energy from fat. For every pound of muscle that you add, your body will chew up an extra 40-50 calories per day.
Consider this: muscle takes up less space than flabby fat because it is more dense. And of course it will look fabulous. A firm, attractive, well-muscled body will look fit and fabulous.
Efficient fat-burning requires your doing short-duration, high-intensity workouts. And, this is how you can get fit in just 12 minutes of daily exercise. Even better, you won't be wasting hours in low-intensity trudging on a treadmill.
Three Times A Week is enough, just set yourself three days when you will exercise. Whether it's Monday, Wednesday, Friday - or any other combination that suits your schedule - be sure to get in your three-a-week. After all, it's only 12 minutes.
What will you need? Very little equipment and you can do the routines just about anywhere.
