When looking for the best Hawaii wedding photographers, ask to see their sample albums. Then when you're done with those ask to see their first and last wedding. This will likely throw them off and give you a chance to see their style and whether they can be consistent.
Photographers shoot so many photos that getting samples is not really hard for them. But when you see enough photos over a period of time, you begin to understand how this particular person will perform at at your wedding. You'll know pretty much right away if you like what you see.
