Using Squidoo to drive Traffic.

I know your asking what is Squidoo. In this article you are going to learn what squidoo is and how to use it to drive traffic to your site.
Squidoo is a website that was founded by Seth Godin in October of 2005. Seth is an avid Blogger, Speaker and Author. Now one of the top 500 tracked websites by Alexa for traffic it is a network of user generated pages called lenses.
When you create a lense you fill it with your own topics, views or recommendations on just about any subject you like.
Using Squidoo to drive Traffic.
Follow these easy steps:
Signup for Squidoo. Design your lense. Build your site link.
To setup your account you will go to http://www.squidoo.com. Click on the signup link and then follow the easy steps.
It is easy to design you page using Squidoo as they have a modular design. The basic modules are You Tube Videos, Text list, Orbitz, Text/Write, RSS, Link List, Google Blog Search, Guest Book, Flickr photos, Del.ico.us bookmarks, and Ebay.
As you can see you have alot of modules that you can add. They have other modules in the following categories Basic, New!, Money Makers, Plexo, Search A-Z, Some other Squidoo features
Squidoo is very different from other sites as you will get to share in the money made from adsense or any of the modules you setup on your lense. You can give your share to charity, split it and give a portion to charity and a portion to youself, or keep it all for yourself.
It has been said that if you give your proceeds to chartiy or at least share it you will get better rankings. I've not tested this but I give a portion to charity just because it makes me feel better. Making money with squidoo is not the focus of this article but it is a nice to know. We are using squidoo to get people to signup for our list.
Now to get your link on the squidoo site you will want to add the Text/Write module or you can add it to your introduction page. It's a good idea to have something to offer. Like a free report.
Now would be a good idea to take a look at how a page looks. While your browsing my page how about giving it a quick rank by clicking on the stars at the top. This ranking system is how you will get your site ranked higher and get more traffic. 5 stars is the best.

You will see that this ranking system is how you can get your site viewed more. The better your site ranking the higher you get listed in the squidoo search system.
To raise your ranking you can join Squidoo groups and send people to visit your site and rank it.
As of the writing of this article squidoo has an Alexa Rank of 487. With that you can be assured that your page on squidoo will be picked up by the search engines which in turn will bring you some organic traffic as well.
