So your toying with the idea of going on a fast weight loss diet? Everyone of us have felt this way at some time or another its just the way we assume things need to be done. Maybe you have been carrying few extra pounds which has lingered for while but now you have you decided you want to work off the weight fast so you can squeeze in that pair of pants your boyfriend or husband said you looked so hot in last year. I am not an advocate of fast weight loss diets for most people they can be too restrictive and many people have been know to become unwell losing weight to quickly.My view is that generally trying to lose weight over anything less than 2 weeks can be counter productive and may put you off trying to lose weight all together.
Although everyone will likely be tempted to try and lose their 10 pounds or even lose 20 pounds as quickly as possible, unless you feel for some reason that this is absolutely necessary, it's better to take a longer term approach.
If you want to lose weigh fast, it's likely that you're going to have to make a restrictive and drastic diet change that will be hard to implement and even harder to maintain. This also means there's a good chance you will simply put the weight back on when you fast weight loss diet is over, or when you (inevitably) lapse from it.
A much more effective longer term solution is to make some basic but relatively easy changes to your life style and eating habits. Not only will this be much easier to stick at and a more effective way to lose 10 pounds or so but the weight you lose will have far more chance of staying off.
Many people find the exercise regimens and diet changes involved in quick weight loss unrealistic - you never have enough hours in the day as it is, so it's hard to make more for exercise.
The easiest way of adding exercise in your daily routine is to try and combine it naturally in your day to day activities. This might mean you ride your bike to work if possible or you may be park your car at another car park and walk the extra distance.
By walking or biking to work you will be doing a lot of good to your body , helping the enviroment and your bank account as well which sounds good to me, don't you agree? Try and find other little ways of making changes take the stairs instead of the elevator , or maybe stroll around the park at lunch or if your office has one nearby go for a quick swim at the pool after work or before work. These small adjustments to your daily routine can build up to have a significant effect cumulatively.
It can be fun losing weight if you maybe take up a sport or other energetic pursuit you could involve your partner the kids or just get together in the park with a bunch of friends and play soccer or baseball or maybe basketball or volley ball on the beach whatever you and your friends enjoy.
It's always better to exercise doing activities you enjoy and don't find a chore like most people (women especially) do with a gym work out. Try joining a group activity such as an aerobics class, swimming, spinning,step class or a whole host of other fun activities.
